Every week or so I get a solicitation from Countrywide Mortgage with whom I have two mortgages. Last week with interest rates falling to record lows, I called the 800 number, waited 5 minutes and got a loan specialist on the line. Since I have two accounts they quickly looked up both loans and promptly told me that despite the fact both loans were initiated in 2005, they were both at great rates and there was NO POINT in refinancing because they could NOT offer me a better rate!

And we wonder why the financial community is in free fall!

With marketing this dumb anyone can go broke!
